The difference between clicks and paid clicks

Often times our network will backfill ads in placements (such as unpaid house-ads) if we are unable to place an advertiser’s campaign. This typically only occurs for non-US traffic, and only on very rare occasions.

For publishers that use our content recommendation widget, only placements with the highlighted author name are paid; everything else is filled from content across the network (or your website).
